Bandhavgarh National Park, located among the Vindhyan Hills of Madhya Pradesh, is home to over 250 species of birds and is a paradise for nature enthusiasts. The park is also famous for the Bengal and White Tigers and considered to have the highest density of tiger population in India. It was declared a Tiger Reserve Project in 1993 under Project Tiger.
Formerly the area belonged to the Maharaja of Rewa who used it as his Shikargarh or hunting reserve. It came into existence as a National Park in 1968 after its control was handed over to the government. The park gets its name from the highest hill situated in the centre - Bandhavgarh almost 807 meters in height, spread over a core area of approximately 624 sq kms.
The forest consists mainly of the bamboo trees and the Sal forests. Grassy meadows are found in the valleys and along the banks of the river Umrar which passes through the western fringes and the Bandhavgarh hills.
Nature Unlimited takes you on an amazing 4 Days/ 3 Nights vacation to the land of the famous TIGER LAND.
