It is the place where every true wildlife lovers must visit to appreciate the peaceful jungle, away from hustle & bustle of safari jeeps, beautiful hilly terrains, deep gorges, rivulets, untouched forest locations etc. of Satpura National Park is nurtured in the Satpura Ranges of Hoshangabad district in Madhya Pradesh. Along with adjoining Pachmarhi&Bori Sanctuaries, Satpura National Park it covers 1427 km2, otherwise it covers an area of 524 sq.km. Various ways of wildlife watching distinguishes it from other tiger reserves of India. Here one can do jeep safari, elephant safari, walking safari & boat safari. Unspoiled Highland eco-system of Satpura National Park is unique in nature and was established in 1981.

Pachmarhiin Madhya Pradesh is often called as the queen of Satpura Ranges. Situated at an altitude of 1,067 feet, Pachmarhi offers a variety of attractions ranging from ancient caves to beautiful monuments. A famous hill station in the Satpura Range, Pachmarhi is greatly indebted to the highly innovative officer of the British reign, Captain Forsyth for it’s all round development. It was on the recommendation of this great officer Pachmarhi has been converted to a famous Sanatorium and later to a hill station.

The single hill station in Madhya Pradesh, Pachmarhi is a large flat terrain, circled by the snooty knolls of the Satpura range. Its countryside is characterized by rocky hills, woody forests and deep canyons. The lustrous greenery combined with the majestic hills and the cascading waterfalls presents eye-catching scenery to the observer. One among the main attractions of this hilly resort is the spectacular sight it provides when the sun sets in the horizon.

ITINERARY

Day 1 * We take Howrah mail from Mumbai to reach Itarasi by 8 AM.
  * Transfer to the Resort at satpuda.It will be approx. 1hours drive from Itarasi.
  * Have lunch & relax at resort.
  * After lunch, jungle safari to SatpudaTiger Reserve and experience majestic wildlife.
  * Satpudais like a heaven for wildlife enthusiasts which attracts tourist towards it. Satpuda is also known as the 'bearland of Madhya Pradesh'. Located in hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh, the Tiger reserve extends over an area of 1126 sq km.
  * Dinner and Overnight stay at the resort.

 

Day 2 * Leave early morning for jungle safari.
  * Return to resort for breakfast. Some free time for relaxation.
  * After Lunch, leave for a jungle safari at around 2:00 pm.
  *Large herds of chital, the stately Sambhar, the elusive Barking Deer, the fleet footed Chousingha, the majestic Gaur, the robust Nilgai, the shy Sloth Bear, the Whistling Wild Dog, the stealthy Leopard make an ever lasting impression on the visitors.
  * Overnight stay at the forest resort.


Day 3 * Post morning safari and breakfast, leave for pachmarhi. 80km.
  * After lunch, visit Bee Fall, Dhoopgarh (Sunset).
  * Overnight stay at Pachmarhi.

 

Day 4 * After Breakfast visit Jata Shankar temple, Church,Pandav Gufa, Jheel.
  * After lunch,visit to Handi Khoh, Priyadarshini, Gupt Mahadev, Bada Mahadev, Rajendra Giri.
  * Night halt at Pachmarhi

 

Day 5 * Morning birding trail upto 9.30 a.m.
  * After breakfast relax and pack up the baggage.
  * Check out after lunch and leave to Pipariya or Bhopal to take the train back to Mumbai.

 

Costing and other details

Tour cost: Rs. 20,100/- per person + Rail or Airfare. (on Twin/ Triple sharing basis)

Rail Booking : Generally booked 60 days in advance. If not available at the time of booking then tatkal tickets needs to be booked which will incur additional cost. The exact fare will be known at the time of booking.

 

Tour Cost Includes :

- 4 nights 5 days stay in Air cooled room.

- All meals, 4 safaris in open Gypsy. Max 6 people in one gypsy.

- Pick and Drop from Pipariya/bhopal Railway station in AC car.

 

Tour Cost Does not Include :

- Rail or Airfare

- Any personal expense such as Laundry, any extra meals not mentioned above, liquor, personal medical expenses, phone etc.

 

Please Note :

- Keep the forest & surrounding area clean.

- Leaving your garbage anywhere in the forest is not allowed.

- Smoking and Alcohol in the forest is not allowed.

- Your seat will be confirmed only after full payment for the tour.

- Gypsy Safari Bookings and Train Bookings run 90 days in advance.

 

Things to carry :

* Woollenclothing(for winter season), Summer clothing (for summer season)

* Personal clothing, Sunscreen lotion, Cap, Scarf, Torch (Mandatory)

* A camera..or else you will miss the show
