About Tadoba National Park
Tadoba’s southern tropical dry deciduous forest of Deccan Peninsula comprises of teak forests with bamboo thickets which shelters around 50+ tigers in the reserve. It lies in Chandrapur District; and is Maharashtra's oldest National Park created in 1955. It is also one of India's 28 Project Tiger Reserves. The National Park is 623 km² in area, consisting of two forested rectangles of the Tadoba and Andhari range.
Wildlife
Along with around 50+ tigers, Tadoba Tiger Reserve is a home for rare Indian wildlife such as Leopards, Sloth Bears, Gaur, Nilgai, Wild Dogs, Hyenas, Civet and Jungle cats, and species of deer and antelopes- Sambar, Chital, Nilgai, Chausingha and Barking Deer. The Tadoba lake sustains the Marsh Crocodile, which were once common all over Maharashtra. Tadoba is also an ornithologist's paradise with a varied diversity of aquatic birdlife, and Raptors. The reserve also shelters over 70 species of spiders and butterflies.

Day 1 |
* We take early morning flight from Mumbai to reach Nagpur by 8 AM. People who choose to come by train need to take Sevagram Express at Dadar on earlier day at 15:10 to reach Nagpur by 7:00 am. |

* Transfer to Royal Tiger Resort at Tadoba. It will be approx. 3 hours drive from Nagpur. |
|
* Have lunch & relax at resort. |
|
* After lunch, jungle safari to Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve and experience majestic wildlife. |
|
* On returning back to resort relax, have dinner. |
|
* Overnight stay at the resort. |
Tadoba National Parkis like Heaven for Wild life enthusiasts which attracts tourist towards it. Tadoba is also known as the 'Jewel of Vidarbha'. The area around Tadoba was once highly populated by the Gond tribes. Tadoba name was derived from their local deity 'Taru', who was killed in an epic fight with a tiger. He is still worshiped by the local villagers as the deity of 'Tadoba'.
Day 2 |
* Leave early morning for jungle safari. |

* Return to resort for breakfast. Some free time for relaxation. * After Lunch, again we shall leave for a jungle safari at around 2:00 pm. |

* Overnight stay at the forest resort. |
Although the major attraction of Tadoba National Park is the Tiger, large herds of chital, the stately sambhar, the elusive Barking Deer, the fleet footed chousingha, the majestic Gaur, the robust Nilgai, the shy Sloth Bear, the Whistling Wild Dog, the stealthy Leopard make an ever lasting impression on the visitors.The lake attracts many water birds like Cattle Egrets, Purple Moorhens and Jacanas. Marsh crocodiles are also there at the breeding farm. Tadoba is also an ornithologist's paradise with a varied diversity of aquatic birdlife and Raptors.
Day 3 |
* Post morning safari and breakfast leave for Nagpur. Catch the flight or train back to Mumbai.

Airfare : As of now, return airfare will cost around Rs. 5200/- which will keep on varying with the time.
Railfare : Generally booked 60 days in advance. If not available at the time of booking then tatkal tickets needs to be booked which will incur additional cost. The exact fare will be known at the time of booking.

Tour Cost Does not Include :
Rail or Airfare – Mumbai to Nagpur and back
Any personal expense such as Laundry, any extra meals not mentioned above, liquor,personal medical expenses, phone etc.

- Keep the forest & surrounding area clean.
- Leaving your garbage anywhere in the forest is not allowed.
- Smoking and Alcohol in the forest is not allowed.
- Your seat will be confirmed only after full payment for the tour.
- Gypsy Safari Bookings run 30 days in advance.
Things to carry :
- Woollen clothing(for winter season), Summer clothing (for summer season)
- Comfortable sports shoes with a decent grip
- Personal clothing, Sunscreen lotion, Cap, Scarf, Torch (Mandatory)
- A camera.. or else you will miss the show
- Plastic bags (for wet things) and a water bottle
- Personal Medical kit, Do not carry any valuables or jewellery.
